DOUGLAS MARTINEZ
Co-Owner and General Superintendent
DOUGLAS brings over 20 years of commercial construction experience to Silver Lake Construction.
Douglas began his career in commercial construction as an apprentice specializing in acoustical ceiling installation. He completed his 4-year apprenticeship as a Journeyman Carpenter through Local #1506 in Southern California and participated in major renovations at LAX, San Francisco Airport, Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral, Nokia Center, and many more.
Douglas quickly pursued a position as a Construction Superintendent, gaining extensive field experience supervising complex commercial renovation projects for Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, John Wayne Airport, UCLA, USC Keck Medical Center, Claremont Colleges, Teradata and others.
Upon moving to North Carolina in 2015, Douglas has continued his career supervising commercial projects where he fosters a culture of teamwork, active communication, and commitment to safety.
During his free time, Douglas can be found spinning '80s vinyl, enjoying live jazz music, working on classic cars, and tinkering with mechanical watches.
NICOLE MEGGERSON de MARTINEZ
Co-Owner and Project Manager
NICOLE brings extensive experience in construction management, contract administration, and project planning to Silver Lake Construction.
Beginning her career in construction accounting in the Los Angeles-area residential development industry, that path led her to a 20-year career in infrastructure development for California’s largest public water provider. Notable projects include co-founding and producing the California Construction Expo, and contract compliance monitoring on the $1.9B Diamond Valley Lake and $1.2B Inland Feeder Projects:

Nicole moved to North Carolina with her family in 2015 and continues her passion for people, clear vision for a project’s outcome, and the determination to focus on the small details.
In addition to being a devoted mom of three adult sons, you’ll see Nicole in the community volunteering at Holly Springs Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce events, enjoying a good book, attending local theatre productions, or striving to get in 10,000+ steps whenever possible.
