"The project involved the renovation of warehouse space and partial conversion into an administrative suite. Throughout the course of this project, Douglas managed more than a dozen subcontractors to fulfill the scope of work which included masonry wall opening and installation of roll-up doors, framing and finishing classroom and office space, HVAC design and installation, plumbing additions and upgrades, electrical circuitry and lighting upgrades, electrical dissection from adjacent suites, various floor coverings, and numerous other tasks necessary to update an aging structure and convert open warehouse to finished administrative areas.
Douglas' competence was second only to his work ethic which was paramount to keeping this project on budget and schedule. He remained present, available, flexible, approachable, and also very personable throughout what was often a demanding project. His project management skills and ability to effectively employ subcontractors was demonstrated countless times as he averted delays and cost overruns with a clear commitment to meeting the needs of all parities involved.
